As I've mentioned before, I suffer from major recurrent depression. When I'm depressed, it isn't unusual for me to sit on the couch for an entire day, because I can't muster up the energy to do anything else. At the end of the day I feel like I haven't accomplished a single thing, which makes me more depressed. Me sitting on the couch all day is a sign of a bad mental state.

So when I am ordered to rest, and avoid walking, and elevate my foot, it feels like I'm trapped in a place that exemplifies my depression. And I know I have to stay put in order to heal, but it still isn't fun.

In toe news- yesterday was pretty gross. My toe was even more swollen than it was when I went to the doctor, and felt like an alien limb. Like, it kept feeling fake, so I'd stretch it a bit, which hurt, but at least made it feel real. Today the swelling has gone down somewhat, though it is still fat compared to the other toes, and the color has darkened significantly. There is also a giant lump on the toe, right above the fracture. Not so fun. And guess who gets to go back to work tomorrow! This girl!

Ah well. I have watched ludicrous amounts of Tabatha's Salon Takeover, and finally watched the first episode of Sherlock series 2. I have the second episode as well, and plan on watching it soon. As for Tabatha- it makes me want to buy and wear all the awesome shoes ever. :-P I don't know how they wear them all day, but hairdressers tend to have AMAZING shoes. I'll admit, I'm jealous. Of course, I don't think that 4 inch heels get along with a fractured toe. So, regardless of my desires, fabulous shoes will have to wait.

Like I said, work tomorrow. And Thursday and Friday. Classes start Tuesday week, and my final semester (knock wood) will have begun! Wish me luck!
