Packing is a bitch
Jan. 7th, 2010 07:56 pmI don't know what we'll be doing, I only know that it is cold in Florida. Not quite as cold as it is in DC, but still cold. So I'm packing stuff that I would wear here, but I'm going to wear my old boot cut jeans because one pair of skinny jeans has big old holes near my crotch and the other pair can only be worn with boots. And I do not want to wear boots through security, nor wear them if we're walking all around town. So I'm wearing old sneakers. Also with holes. Jesus. When I get back I'm going to a goddamn shoe store to get myself some waterproof shoes that I can wear with blue jeans.
Palmer gave me my belated Christmas gift today, we went up to Bralala in Laurel and I got a lovely new bra! And it is nude, so I can wear thin shirts without worrying about my bra straps showing through! Hurrah! Plus, its super pretty and feminine without being over the top, and my boyfriend is awesome.
Did the intro-to-web-classes class and it went fine. The interface seems easy to use, I just have to set times for myself to get out of the apartment and go do class work. I know if I sit around here all day I'll do jack shit, so I need to figure out a place to go. The library? Public or MC, that might work. Or a coffee shop with wifi? My coffee shop has wifi, but I don't know if I want to hang out at work when I'm not getting paid for it. But if I go to a Starbucks I'll feel horribly disloyal. Dilemmas!
Come Tuesday I will officially be a Vidal Sassoon hair model, I'm really excited! Their look this year is "Dada Dolls", you can search for it on YouTube. Funky asymmetrical cuts with purple and magenta pushes of color, I think it'll be awesome. I'll miss my long hair, but hey, it'll grow back. I'll post pictures after the workshop!
