I'm Alive!

I promise! I know I've disappeared and not posted, but I am still alive! (And in your journals, reading your entries. Via my flist, so stop being creeped out, kay?)

Florida happened. I will write an actual post about this tonight or tomorrow night, complete with pictures! Mostly of birds, but still, pictures!

It is painfully hot in DC today, and will continue to be so for days. We're under heat advisory (though not Code Red yet, so I still have to pay to ride the bus), and in PG and Montgomery counties they are under water restrictions. Lost of suburbanites pissed off about their dead lawns, but oh well!

Today I'm chilling in Silver Spring, waiting for the World Cup game to start. After that I'll head home, paint my nails, and get psyched for pub quiz. (Also, I'm pretty excited about my new nail polish colors- butter yellow, pinkish plum, and jade green. Pretty!)

Last night, after rescuing a beetle from the mailbox and its certain death, I placed it on a climbing vine on the side of the house. It then proceeded to determinedly climb the vine, which ended about a foot up.

Me: What happens when it reaches the top of the vine?
Palmer: Profit?

I love my boyfriend.

What time is pub quiz? Where is pub quiz? How fast can I drive? (she wondered).

Glad you're okay. We had a hellish week last week and this week looks shaky as well. I know that after the 12th I'm gonna be itchin' for a Kirin or a Sapporo or a Guinness... or even a shot of Four Roses.

In the meantime, new nailpolish=awesome! Found a website where this chick talks about making her own. You can add eyeshadow and change the color of your old nail polish! How cool is that!?!

ZOMG. Today was utter HORSESHIT. I got out way after 7, got home and turne don the FRICKIN' computer again and crazy freelancer was going nuke on me. Then I find out my trivia team was at RiRa and I fucking missed it because MY HEAD IS UP WORK'S ASS.

Do not, I beg you, let me do that again. Next Tuesday? Girl-date?

:( I'm sorry today got eaten by work, that sucks. Does your trivia team have a regular name? Or do you know what name they used tonight? We were "Suarez can use his hands on me" which won us best team name. :D

And yeah, def! Palmer and I will be at RiRa for pub quiz, lets at the very least have a drink in between rounds. If you'd like to do a girl-date, Wednesday would probably work a bit better, as its my day off. We could see a movie?

I hang out with folks belonging to Trivia Kings- they rotate to different places, so their last was at Union Jack's last night. Follow them on FB if you want, but be warned- they are HARD. CORE.

I would love to do pub quiz at RiRa- last time I did it our team creamed everyone else because we're all *koff*old*koff* but it was still funtimes. And a drink on Wed is good too. This next week is going to be crazy, so doing stuff will be good.

Might have to be flexible with pub quiz next week, though, since we've hired new folks and one of them will be in the office on Monday. I have your number. We *will* talk.
