Pub quiz and random bits
Palmer and I, along with his brother Derby, Palmer's friend Cara, and her brother Patrick all went to pub quiz today. I really like pub quiz, even though we're not that great at it, because we get to spout our random knowledge and drink beer. Good times! But man, some people are such asses. Teams are supposed to be a maximum of 6 people, the winning team tonight totally had 9. Oh, they said they were two different teams, but they were all sitting at the same table and cheering when the team name was announced as in the lead. Its like, really? You need to cheat at pub quiz? Ugh, or the people who hang out in the bar NOT playing, and either yell out the answers or talk really loudly so we can't hear the questions. It gets a little frustrating.
Other than those kind of annoyances though, tonight was fun. We didn't win, but we did really well, and the group of us had a good variety of knowledge. Cara's brother Patrick had most of the sports answers, which was a relief cause none of the rest of us are good at that! And Derby and Cara ruled on the picture round, it was all different art movements and I only would have known 3.
So now we're back at Palmer's place because the heat is still out at mine. Though the repairmen are coming tomorrow, and it should be fixed by noon. And my landlord brought by a space heater so it is remaining habitable for Loki. I like my landlord, he's a good guy, but I do need to move out soon. Not working full time means the apartment is just too expensive for me. So I'm looking into getting a two bedroom apartment or a small house with my friend Elle and her boyfriend Matt. There are a couple of places that look good, but we'll have to check them out thoroughly. Wish us luck! Anyhow, tonight is the great computer restructuring, here's hoping our attempts to fix it work out.
